The Held Free: Skyscapes series was created in response to the beautiful space at Lambert Estate Wines in Angaston. For a community that values the seasons and process, Adele has painted expansive, layered skyscapes on her largest canvases to date. This work reflects on the sky as something that holds, contains and connects us while remaining endlessly open. The result is an immersive meditation on mood and atmosphere that is deeply enriched when experienced in person. The artworks in Held Free were made slowly and with attention, and are intended to live quietly with their viewers, holding space rather than asking for it.
